Default cant stop pinging??

I have a 99 ram1500 64000 miles it runs great gets 14.9 mpg but pings all the time with 87 same with 89 and marginaly better with 93 andoctane gas could this be a result of ethanol? I do not know if it uses oil or not yet I just bought it a few weeks ago. Is there a fix to this?

I think it has never had a tune up so I would guess a stock factory plug

ok I found the pcv valve was stuck so I replaced that also found an air cleaner that looked like a scrub pad for a corn field(very dirty but not oily) I took it for a ride up the road there was a definate effect. I was down to a quarter tank filled it with 93 from a gas station out of town and wow what a diffrence little to no ping and out of 750 miles no noticeable oil usage could it just be bad gas from the station I use all the time? or is it still the plenum?
