Default Blaster 3 Coil install

I ordered my msd stuff today, and got the only performance cap and rotor thats made for the magnum (accel). The blaster coils have a mount that msd offers, but it would require me to fab a plate to mount it upright, which i didnt feel like doing, soooo....$5 of home depot enginuity and more spraypaint, and i have a beautiful color matched mount. 2 2" hose clamps with screw "ports" on the back side. I reused the factory bolts to hold the clamps on there.

(the stains on the rails are from pb blaster that i sprayed a few min previous to the pic.

I am trying to figure out what the clamps are designed for. I don't recall seeing them before! Help?
