Default Hey Guys Need Help

Hey i recently purchased a 99 dodge ram, I have had it about 3 months and recently i lost my keys and it was my final set. I was wonderingif a key to another dodge ram99 would start my car cause m neibor has the exact same car and was willing to give me the key if it worked i was worried to try it on my car cause i have heard stories of that messing up the ignition so do you guys think it would work or should i order up some new keys. Thanks

its unlikely that your neighbor's will work, but it won't hurt anything to try. which would be cheaper, ordering keys from dodge by VIN # (can you do that ??) , replacing the ignition switch and locks, or hiring a locksmith to make a key ?

The dealer can make you a key with your VIN....be sure to bring your ownership and proper ID to prove it's your's.
