Oh, will it let me recalibrate my speedo if I borrow someone's? Or can I not do anything with it?

You won't be able to do anything with it as far as I know.

I was told that in my 01 the shifting is supposed to be as follows:

1st gear
2nd gear
3rd gear
torque converter lockup - acts like 4th gear
overdrive.

That is the reason the 46re is classified as a 4 speed with overdrive. (5 ratios)

Just passing along the information I was told and I am pretty confident he knows what he is talking about.
what you were told was kinda wrong....there are 4 full ratios (one being overdrive, i believe .69:1 on this trans) AS WELL as TC lockup. there are 4 forward gears and lockup. on my '98, i do not experience TC lockup in 3rd unless OD is off (100% positive about this), and the FSM agrees with this....find it strange yours are different. different programming between canadian and federal perhaps?

Due to the positive results i have seen here I bought a PPIII for my 99's sport 1500. It has/had the death flash, and the milage was averaging less than 13mpg with 245's. Even with straight highway driving it only got up to 15mpg or so.

After my last trip I got 17.4.

I had put in the 93 octane setting but my wife filled it up with regular and there isn't any pinging. Power is up noticeable, especially in the low end.

Can you change the shift point for WOT when you are taking off from a dead stop using Hypertech/Superchips? Mine hangs in first gear unless you lift up on the go pedal.

No you won't be able to adjust shift points with a programmer.

You can try adjusting yourThrottle Valvecable and see if that helps.
