My 1997 dodge ram is a little bounce, my friend has the same truck, same year and his truck's suspension seems to be a lot more stiff, i've heard it could be the shocks or it could be the springs. Anybody know what i should or what should be replaced? Thanks

 

I'd start by replace the shocks. If they're stockers they're like 10-11 years old, probably pretty wore out.

 

what would you recommend for shocks, i wanna spend like $50-60 a piece, whats a good company to go with

In my experience the cost of the shock equates to the stiffness. I won't be buying anymore expensive shocks. Driving on the concrete roads in SoCal is bucking brutal.

 

the best shock is the bilstein's. search ebay for around $200-220 delivered. cheapo me used gabriel from autozone for about 27 each.
