Thanks. Compare those mud tires I posted up above with an average A/T tire (like this Mastercraft A/T for example). Big difference in siping don't you think.

if your looking for a real good tire in mud, snow and still has great road manners and is very quiet, the parnelli jones dirt gripz is a great tire. They have more siping than most mud tires on teh market. Here are 35" PJ's on my jeep.

I looked at the Big O tires before I bought my current tires, and decided the new XLTs were not an improvement over the older design. Clearly Big O is trying to bite into the Nitto market.
The extra cash you pay for the no questions asked warranty...if you need it, great, if not, your money pays for someone elses problems. Big O isnt gonna lose money.
I ended up with a set of Pep Boys Durango Mudders. Nice lugs, andextra sipping. They are noisier than a normal AT, but not as loud as the Truxus swampers I had. The other drawback is limited sizes.

I had a friend that was running those Big O's that your looking at and they werent all that much to brag about, didnt last long either.... He had them on a T-100 Toyota. That suggestion about the Dakota's sounds good, I saw a set of those mud style tires on a truck in a parking lot and that tire looks great, dunno about how good it performs but looks real good.

Speaking from recent experience, big o was a lot cheaper than Discount tire out here. Had big o putmy MTR's put on, twenty bucks cheaper than Discountfor the same service, no wait, and these guys were cool even threw in new lug nuts.
