Vacuum Problem?
Got the vacuum canister today. Works like a champ. Thanks alot!!!!!
For lucas3397, my truck didn't come with the canister type. It had a small
check valve about the size of a quarter with nipples on each side. It was located
inline next to the dryer. Hope this helps.

Ok mine is fixed! I replaced the check valves as they were weak & not holding a vaccum but the big problemwas that the vaccum cap that I plugged the 4x4 system with after installing the Posi-lok went missing & that is where the vaccum was bleeding offon acceleration which is when the a/c doors wouldswitch. The a/c is way colder now because I think that it was not having enoughvaccum to work all of the doors involved when the a/c is on. Now I hear the doors all snap shut which I never heard before, even before disconnecting the vaccum for the 4x4 posi-lok conversion.

with it being a 4X4. i had the same problem.. took me a hell of a time tracking it down but i found the hard vacume lines comeing from the t-case to the front CAD/axle.. on a small section of the bends ,,these hard lines were rotted through.. you can get prebent ones from the dealer for pretty cheep.. i think less the 50 bones
I capped the vac off for the 4x4 system at the "T" that goes to the a/c & 4x4 so that there is no vaccum in the lines at all. Since I removed the cad & do not use the system I figured there was no reason to have vaccum in the lines at all but it is nice to know that the lines are not that expensive ;-)
