My 1996 Dodge does not have a factory Tach. Could I get A gauge cluster from a another truck and just swap it in and have a tach that works?

 

How would i wire up an aftermarket Tach if had to????????

 

just go into your local auto parts store and pick up one to mount onto your dash, all the instructions should come with it

 

Thats odd. I have a 96 and it has a tach

 

yah not all of them came with tachs

 

I was just wondering if there is anyone who has, put a tach in a dodge. Wiring is not my specialty

 

i havent put one in my dodge i put one in my fist truck whitch was a ford (sorry) and it was just a matter of tapping into i wire off the coil i belive

 

ryans590 is correct...I put one in my dodge truck and you just hook up a power wire (ignition, not constant), the illumination (light) wire which could be hooked up to the power wire also or thewire that turns on the dash lights, ground, and the tach lead wire.
