Just bought a new 1500
Hello everyone. I am new to the Dodge truck family. A week ago I bought a 2001 Ram 1500 quad cab, red, 74,000 miles, drop in bedliner. I changed out the AM/FM/Cassette player with a CD player today. I was wondering if it would be bad at all to cut out holes in the bed liner where the holes are on the rails of the truck so that I can secure stuff in the bed. The only problem I can think of is that it would allow more rain to get and sit between the drop in liner and the bed.

take the plastic bedliner out and throw it away. cost = 0.
if you want something that will keep stuff from sliding around, a low cost option is a rubber mat.

i agree you can take out your dodge truck bed liner, and you can have a nice bed rug/mat - which protects from scratches. you can also save some bucks
