Default Thumping under feet help

i have a 1997 ram 1500 with a 5'5 Fabtech lift. I have new coils in the front and shocks are fine. I have no steps on the side of my truck to cause it. The traction bars from the front axel to the frame under my feet seem fine and i'm not able to move them by pushing or kicking them. But for some reason when driving most "city" driving i get a thrumping, i can feel it in my feet, the passange side can not feel it. Do u think that its when i hit a bump in the road it hits the axel back and the traction bar's bushing are like bottoming out causing the thumping? but like i said i cant move them or anything. Any idea what it could be?

But my leave springs in the back and the shocks do need to be replaced, the shocks have no bushing and the leave springs are saging.

Well it's one of those things, have to fix one problem after the other in a process of elimination, I think, fix your rear springs and shocks when you get the chance, see what happens.

It might also be one of those things, you just won't know what to fix until it's broken (or as they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it).

My front squeaks like a mouse over every tiny bump and in the turns, what can you do, to a point I just deal with it, drive it nice and easy so it lasts longer.

gotmudd, 'not tight enough' lower bolt on front shocks will cause a thumping under your feet. they must be torqued very tight (100 lb). also worn/missing bushing, worn/wallowed bolt can cause it.

topsites, my truck squeaked real bad. it was the auto trans shifter linkage bushings where the up/down rod changed to the front/rear rod. i put a lot of white grease on it and it stopped. i was able to duplicate the sound by raising the hood and and pushing back/forth sideways on the hood. somehow that duplicated the road motion that was driving me CRAZY.

Well i will check the bolt/net connection the shock to the Axel below the coils. Also witht he shock i didnt have the metal fitting between the shock and the bushing but i made one with some "engenering" lol. But it was fine still now, but i also think it was on the right shock not the left one. I will check it 2 marrow and see whats up. Any more idea's see the problom is i use my truck for what it was built 4 :P. I have alot of call's for people needing help to be pulled out *for a small fee of course :P* so hoply thats it and its not anything to big. I checked the front drive train and unjoints *i just had the front axel ones replaced* The drive train checked out and ujoints also. For the sweaking u guys are getting i have that also but its b/c i just replaced the whole front stablizor shock and full stearing rode and stealing collom and also put in a new sway bar. I will check all of thoughs 2 marrow maybe one of them have managed to lossen up or something.
