97 1500 rusting doors
I have a 97 1500 4 x4 Ram and the doors are rusting out at the bottom. I've noticed many other Dodges with the same type of rust issue--- any info on cause and remedy would be appriciated --- thank you

It's a Dodge thing they rust from the inside out. Probably due to pluged drain holes or the extra weather strip they use aon quad cab modles. I have fixed mine twice the only real cure is either a new door ($600.00) or they make patch panels for them now for about $75.00. You need to cut out the decaying part and weld the new ones in. From what if have estimated from different body shops about $350.00 a door. If you have a quadcab check the back doors too they are prone to the same fate.
