not the point.........VWandDodge......it's irrelevant.......just when we were getting down to brass tacks

 

I have run three sets ofHarland Sharps. 1.7 non adj. before cam, 1.6 non adj. after cam, and 1.6 adj. after I couldn't get the proper preload out of the 1.6 non adj. As far as geometry is concerned they were dead on. After I took the 1.7's off the wear pattern was dead nuts center of the valve stem and, from memory, the travel was maybe 3/32" at the most. I have read where people say that they will flex at rpms above 6.5k, but I don't know if that is true or not.

 

somebody must need these rockers I will even take a loss on them? They will not work on my truck.

Will the viper rockers only work on some engines?

 

I have not done the comparison, but I recently installed the 1.6 harland sharps and the installation was a breeze. No issues with stock lifters or pushrods. Bolted on as easy as factory.

no offence to TPSdodge, but i- as i'm sure most people who actually read the forum- are going to take hankL's advice over yours 100% of the time.

hankL offers an informative tip. you ask him to provide a source. he provides many. his sources include multiple high end engine builders who do these swaps all day long.

your knowledge is limited to 'oh well i installed them and they seem to work...' [:'(]

how about you back up your side of the argument with articles written by expert engine builders and documented proof, before you go off on hankL-- who provides nothing but accurate, well written information to everyone on the forum?
