Default Dead cargo light

I have a 97 Ram, the cargo light quit, I thought it was the switch, but I replaced it and has no power to the socket. The 3rd tail light works fine. There is no power to the pigtail that operates the factory cargo light- anybody have any ideas where it gets its power? The owners manual does not list it in the fuse section.

Happaned to me, i replaced the whole switch, i but the wires and twisted them togeather then wraped tape around each one and it worked fine. Check all yours fuses to make sure there working.. if worse comes to worse rip the dash off again its really easy, unscrew the bototm covers and fallow the wires there would be a kink or ripped out.

Also for another idea check the conntion between the door's and the reciver switch that when u open the door the light come on, might be broken or stuck or anything.
