Default When's Time?

I'm depressed at continuing to throw money into this thing. I love my truck but, man this is getting really old and really expensive. Friends ask when I'm going to get a new truck. I just laugh and tell them "I'm buying a new truck one part at a time."
So, when is it time to throw in the towel, get a newer truck and ATVs for 4-wheeling?

Default RE: When's Time?

i drove my '76 chevy from 79-06. 3-4 water pumps, countless brakes, shocks, tires, hoses, belts. 2 carbs, 2 fuel pumps, 2 distributors, ps pump, 3 starters, 1 alternator, 1 radiator, 1 transmission reseal, 1 windshield. been needing a timing chain for long time, but i just sort of ignored it. i also figure i probably saved $50,000-75,000 in car payments by driving it for so many years.

i firmly believe that after 30 years its time for a new truck, whether you need one or not.
