Transmission whine
Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone can shed some light on a tranny whine most noticeable in lower gears. I checked the fluid and it was low but not to where I would expect a noise. Sounds to me like a TC going bad to me.I figure if I'm going to have to tear everything apart, what is everyone else using for a replacement converter and trans? I want something stronger but not to crazy, I pretty much drag around light weight stuff. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I had to drive it about 300 miles to get home and it shifts fine but shifts out of OD and back in with the light working in conjunction. The fluid is burnt now but the tranny workssemi-normal (other than in and out of O/D) and the whine is gone. I hate tranny's! LOL
