Default Dodge Truck Dies

it seems like everytime i step on the brakes the dang truck starts to cut out or will die
is this a vacuum problem or something else ?
it does this more often while in reverse but it does it in drive too but not as often

When's the last time this truck had some scheduled maintenance, it sounds to me like it just lacks idle power...

Which, could be along the lines of it needing any or all of the following: oil and filter change, trans fluid and filter change, spark plugs, wires, cap & rotor, pcv valve, air filter, breather cap, fuel filter, maybe the 02 sensor but I'd also be for checking for vacuum leaks.

last time was when i bought the truck 6 months ago and about 2,750 miles ago
I used the long life 10w-40 castrol syntec and a long life fram oil filter
the truck only has 67,450 miles the plugs look new and the wires also look new
Ihaven't had a chance to check the cap and rotor for cracks, or corrosion
Ialso think i have a clogged cat but i will look into it more when i have some time to tear into it.
thanks for the input

Definately check into the plugged exhaust. Also, may be time to flush tranny and add the synthetic fluid. I had a stalling problem in another vehicle and researched possible causes. Turns out (through TSBs) that the manufacturer decided the weak torque converters could be "fixed" by ugrading to synthetic fluid. I flushed and refilled/filt. etc. and lo and behold, never stalled again! I'd look into it at least.
