hey guys, we are contemplating buying a club cab truck that has a blown motor and the argument is that once fixed (jr will do most of the work) and is back on the road, mileage will not be that great.
Sooo the point of the poll is to find out what kind of gas mileage club/quad cab 2wd trucks are getting... I dont remember which motor is in there so I'll set it up so both motors & mileage are there.
All input is greatly appreciated...
Please, club cab or quad cab 2wd only...
I figure 14-15 range...but mine was a 4x4 with oversized tires & gearing...

5.9 QC ... less than 13 but I didn't vote 'cause it's a 4x4.

I'm almost tempted to pick up this truck myself and flip it. I know I can have it on the road for under $11~1200 bux, if I can get it for $500~700 it would be worth it. I think I could easily get $3500~4000 for it, it is pretty clean.
Not a club, or quad cab so I dident vote, but my 5.2 4wd I managed to get 17mpg once... But on average, normal driving has been around 12-14... 10 is you drive it hard, or go offroading.
Does anyone know the weight difference between the 2? (4x4 vs 2x4)

Looks like about 240 pounds or so ... 2007 specs.
ok, found this on consumer guide.com http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...m-pickup-4.htm
looks like 4529 for 2x4 CC, figure a 4x4 has to be another 300 lbs easy...

well the link says 4009 for a std cab 2x4 so i'd say 4200~4300... it comes down to the differences in weight for the 4x4 gear vs nogear... hell for all I know it may be more than 300... how much does a transfer case weigh? 75 lbs? drive shaft? 30~40 lbs?
