GEN light?

Default GEN light?

Ok today as i was driving...I noticed that a red light on the cluster saying GEN came on..As i was driving home it kept going on and off does anyone know what the GEN light is for? and what could cause it to go off? thanks

Could be just a failing belt. Or the alternator (Dodge calls it the GENerator) is on it's way out. If not the belt, pull it and take it to an auto parts strore and let them test it.

oo ok..cause i noticed my belts were squeaking today..probaly from playin in the mud last night...if i spray the belts or pulleys down with wd-40 you think that will stop the squeaking?

NOOOOOO! Take it off wash it in some dish detergent dry it and put it back on. Might wipe the pullies down too. And
