I just purchased my second dodge diesel truck a 01 dually and I was wondering if it is possible within the realm of economics to convert it to a four wheeled unit I understand the wheels/rims and the box as well as the front bolt on hubs need to be replaced anything else? The truck is a 4x4 and has rear disk brakes. If any body out there has seen or heard of this being done I would appreciate the information.

But where can you find the massive wheel & tire combo. I've seen a dually with that and it looked awesome.

 

My uncle converted a single 14 bolt gm axle to dual and I thought all he did was get longer
studs along with dually wheels. So maybe thats all you have to swap; shorter studs and
standard wheels. With regards to the extended wheel well, I have no idea how those are
attached from the factory, i've never crawled around one.
