which gives more power you think?
I haven't tried the CAI but i do have the round filter setup and it is AWESOME!!!
It sounds cool, looks cool, and not everyone has it.
The only down side is that it pulls hot air rather than cold air so I'm assuming the CAI kit would actually add more power.

I had the K&N setup on my 2000 and loved it... I didnt have the option of running the round filter since I live in CA. I did however have the opportunity to run a larger filter and the results were pretty good when compared to the stock K&N filter. I ran a 6x9 round filter and the only downside was I had to move the shield back about 1" to stop allow the filter to grab the intake tube when installing it.
I vote cai only because in my slant six days I dynoed my dart before and after a cai. I gained 6 hp and 12 tq going from stock to open round filter then got another 3hp and 4tq going cai. thats a total of 9hp and 15 tq which is huge on a 100hp slant six.
I voted for the CAI, but wouldn't use a K&N because of the issues they've had with tubes cracking. If I could do it over, I'd buy an Airmax system, or the one Maddog Racing sells on E-bay.
Second my K&N didn't make any real power until I replaced it with a Spectre element which is much larger. So plan on spending another 40 bucks to see a real gain you can feel.
Third, and this is important...it looks like you get into mud and maybe some water with your truck. The K&N element is positioned right where that stuff will pile up in the front of the baffling. If you run or might run in axle deep wet situations, I'd avoid the K&N like the plague! Use an Airmax, Volant, Maddog Racing, or other designs that take air from the stock fender hole.

I don't think the ariaid is true CAI...It's just a tube with a filter on it as I recall. Might as well stick a round filter on your truck for all the hot engine air you'll suck in.
