Default High Beams won't turn off?

So it has been a LONG time since I posted but my RAM has been running perfectly! Still is, I just have what appears to be a small issue.

I have a '96 1500 RAM and the high beams won't turn off and theturn signals won't work. Everything else seems to be working fine, including the hazzards. I've checked the fuses under the hood and the only want to get the high beams off is to disconnect the fuse. I'm wondering if it is a problem with the arm that turns them on and off? Any ideas of help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, that's it. The multi-function switch is screwing you up. Check fuses/relays and then...Try the junk yard. Also try checking the plug-in on the column for that switch. But, sounds like the switch is balky.

multifunction switch is only about $42 at autozone. i'd buy a new one before messing with junk yard on electrical. it takes a long torx to get the lower cover and panel off. then a security tox to get the switch off. it goes back together faster if you replace the security torx with allen heads. security torx key set avail cheap at autozone or harbor freight. one multifunction switch is off the truck, its easy to test with multimeter.
