Default Tie Rod ends?

Ok i think i am in need of new ones..because if you turn the wheel you can hear a qucik clunk..i checked the u-joints and they are fine..now how hard will it be to change these??can i do it in a drive way..or should i let a shop do it?

Those shouldn't be that bad. Some wrenches, a pickle fork and some wd-40 ought to do it. Just be sure it's those and not something much harder and more expensive (ball joints, hub bearing, etc).

Mine are shot to, and that sucks for these trucks. Reason is that you have to replace the whole draglink and tierods, not just the ends...if you look at the TRE's you'll see that they're are molded into the draglink and tierod. This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen, and I would have a few choice words for the people who though this would be a good idea...

Yes I agree this sucks! The engineering department must have been smoking something when they designed this deal.... anyone know the best place to purchase the draglink and tierods?

www.rockauto.com is the cheapest I've found. Most Napa steering parts are made by moog so they are a little bit more expensive but worth it.
