Front hub/wheel bearing problem
I have a 94 Ram 1500 4x4 that I just put ball joints, ujoints, and hubs on. But when I lowered it down from the jack and cut the wheel, my driver side hub made a "pop"ing noise. When I jacked it back up, I found the hub had seperated. I assumed that the hub may need the brake dust sheild (that I didn't replace because it was rusted apart)to space it away from the spindle. When I got all the parts on (including a new hub) I droped it down cut the wheel and the hub seperated again. What could be causeing this?
To me, it sounds like the parts aren't matched right like the parts dealer might have sold you the right part for the wrong year. I'd check all the part numbers to make sure the new parts you got arethe right ones for your setup. Good luck!
I returned them under warrenty at another advanced auto, and they gave me the same part. They look the same as stock. The werid thing is it only does it on the driver side.
