Default RIP - MOPAR Battery

I finally had to do it today...........

My original battery died. Truck was built in July of '01, has 88k miles on it. 5 years and 11 months is pretty good for a battery in this climate. Got a Duralast Gold from Autozone - mainly because I had $20 credit there. Bet that one doesn't last 6 years though.........

Sorry for your loss. Mine was built in Feb '00. Waiting for her battery to go. Especially as I only have 40k on her. Don't run her as often as I should.

awesome.

I just get walmart batteries because, for some reason, they don't prorate dead batteries, they give me almost all the credit. I think they don't know how to prorate (down) the credit.

maybe its the store I go to.

i dunno

lol, i work at walmart in the tire & lube express. I said the same thing when i started there....but alas, at my store they finally figured out how to prorate batteries. i had been getting a brand new free battery almost every year for 5-6 years now, and with a fresh 3-year free replacement every time. Now I'll have to suck it up & pay for one when my battery croaks.

Wow! It's the heat here that kills the batteries. Mine worked fine all winter - but when it started getting warm it got slower and slower. Yours might be lasting that long for that reason - it doesn't get as hot up there.....
