Has anyone, tried this with there truck?

 

I tried it in a 98 Ram 2500 V10. My mileage with acetone was about 1.5-2 mpg less than with gas alone

 

no change for me. same milage

 

It's a myth that won't die. Someone asked the same question over at the VW forum I frequent.

 

There is a long thread about this on PS where people did a lot of real world tests and the results were that it is a myth.

 

Are you guys crazy putting that **** in your trucks?

 

It's a myth, right up there with magnets on the fuel line and that tornado thing in the intake. [sm=loser.gif]

 

This is an internet 'thought virus' that won't die
just like the 'Nigerian Bank Account' scam.

Everyone seems to like the Mythbusters TV show
and I noticed that on one of the 'Myths Revisted' shows
they briefly state that they tested acetone in gas
and Jamie stated 'Butkiss'
for any gain.
