intermittent oil pressure
oh yeah, another thing to the original poster... put a mechanical gauge on it and see what it is really doing. if the gauge says it's good, then look at the wiring coming off the pressure sending unit and see if oil has weeped up into the wiring. if it has, I have heard that can cause a problem as well. no experience with it, it's just what i've heard.
The additives that put in synthetic oil is what causes the oil not to break down help to flush the motor out. It has a lot to do with oxidation. And before you get too bent out of shape VW, you're not reading my posts. I never said it will clean out blocked passages. I just stated the simple fact that it will cleanse your engine.
Guys..I figured out what was wrong with the intermittent oil pressure problem. It was the sender after all. When the dealer installed a new one they had to "flash it". The computer needed to be reset to accept the new sender. This flash was sent by Dodge to the computer at the dealer and then sent into the computer in my truck..Everything is fine now. Thanks for all input ...RAM BOY
