if the temp sensors had failed, they'd likely be giving you a check engine light. i'd look into the wire routing, especially because you changed them...i've seen/heard of a variety of problems resulting from this, mine were mostly idle issues, but some say the truck bucks at certain speeds. there's a tsb on this, easy fix if that's what it is.

how would i know if i cant use a diagnostic check ?
i am about to take it too my friends mechanic and let him have a crack at it.
except i dont have the money for that

oh and it seriously smells like gas coming out of the exhaust so there must be alot of unburned fuel
how do i check the coil pack for a sufficent spark ?

Ignition wire routing; watch the 4 & 8 on the right side and the 5& 7 on the driver side. They can cross eachother at right angles (if they must) but not run close parallel. Best to keep them separated as much as possible. If they are cross firing, that is also a misfire and will give gas smell out the back and may set the MIL too.
Check engine light; if you can take it to an auto parts store, they should be able to scan for codes for free (they want to sell parts).
Do these things before spending $$$.

is all you need to know as for plug routing. do you have exhaust leaks? i've experienced drivability/mixture problems (which made me go d'oh cause it was so obvious) with exhaust leaks near the O2 sensors.
