front end trouble

Default front end trouble

how hard is it to change front axle seals on 96 dodge ram 4x4 mine appear to be leaking but cant be that bad cause when i checked fluid it wasnt low

if the axle bearings have ever been changed and put back with anti-seize, then its not too bad. if not, and the brgs are rusted into the knuckle, then its a pita, and you're likely to bust the brg during removal. if you can stand the leak, it might be easier and cheaper to add fluid.

mine has leaked for 4 years! just keep it checked. Kinda handy actually cuz it's self changing! lol
