Default Source for Band Adjustment socket

Anyone have a source for the tool needed to adjust the tranny bands. The square 5/16. I looked everywhere and no luck.

Check with Snap On. Cost more to have it shipped but it was the only place I found that had them.

I am sure in varies by store
but the local Sears hardware section
is still carrying 8 point sockets
in both English and Metric sizes
including 5/16

These are in the replacement sockets rack

Many of the Sears clerks probably don't know
that an 8 point socket is for square heads

I think I have a couple in those sizes from a Craftsman set I bought 20 years ago.

eight points allows a square head to fit two different ways

If you purchase an eight point socket in size 1/2 inch
you can check one torque wrench against another for accuracy
