I have a 99' dodge ram 1500 4x4 that has a whine at around 40 mph. I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem. We think it is in the transmission, might be a gear whine or a bad valve body? I have not completely eliminated the idea that the noise might be from the front differential though. Any ideas?
