Default My next mod (Update:Installed)

Since my control arm bushings are looking pretty bad, and to better fit my new 35" Toyo Open Country M/T's (they will go on later this year when my current tires are through and my BL goes on), I am changing my control arms to some new tubular arms from Skyjacker. These are the new arms that are black powder coated (Skyjacker is switching everything over from red to black). Price was $270 shipped. Hope to install this coming weekend, but that is starting to look questionable.

For those that are interested, here are the specs:

-Skyjacker part# DUL25: Upper Control Arms for 2-5" of Lift
17 1/4 inches length from center of eye to center of eye
19 inches total length
1 1/2 inches main tube outside diameter
1 7/8 inches end tubes outside diameter
1 1/2 inches end tubes inside diameter
1 29/32 inch end tubes length
3/16 inch tube thickness
Arm is 1/8" shorter then the stock OEM arm

-Skyjacker part# DLL23: Lower Control Arms for 2-3" of Lift
18 3/4 inches length from center of eye to center of eye
20 13/16 inches total length
1 6/8 inches main tube outside diameter
2 1/8 inches end tubes outside diameter
1 3/4 inches end tubes inside diameter
2 3/16 inch end tubes length
3/16 inch tube thickness
Arm is 1/8" longer then the stock OEM arm

-Skyjacker hardware bag part # HB-D4550-LK (bushings, zerks, and sleeves)

Summit might still have an inventory of red powdercoated stuff, but if you get them from direct from Skyjacker, they are going to be black. That is all they have now.

shocker where the hell you been??!?!

that'll be a nice modd silver.. you may experience a better ride too with those.. they should flex better for ya.. the cam washers and stamped stockers suck.. im in the same baot as you.. but id like to go semi long arm for the nicer ride... and adjustables so i can kick my axle up 1/2 back to the right location

the nice think about the SJ's is thay come with the zerks... keeps thinks smooth and quite.. (wish my wife had some)

Even though 3" lift doesn't require new arms, the axle does get moved slightly. These new arms should correct that for me since the lower are is a little longer (1/8", and the upper arm is a little short (1/8"). That should push the axle forward just a tad.
