Default For Those With the MOPAR Performance Air Cleaner

Found this item @ napaonline.com for an adapter that allows the crankase vent to be installed in the 14" rnd. performance air cleaner.
It cleans up the little mushroom on the valve cover that many use. Sorry about the long link. I don't know how some of you guys get the red hyperlinks to post. Cars I know. Computers...not so much!

Thanks Wayne, it amazes me that you guys find things like this. Isit better than the valve cover mushroom?

Better? Who's to say. It does allow the system to pull the way it was meant. But it should keep you legal if you have inspections.

So to use that, you would have to drill holes into your valve cover to install the bolts. No thanks.
Would a stand alone breather not pass inspections? Glad I don't have any inspections where I live.

NOOOO! LOL
You drill the bottom of the air cleaner if not already equipped.

Oh, I see. LOL. Thought it went on the other end of the connection.

nhlbill might like this since he is looking for ways to bring some warm air into the intake to help it run a little better when first starting up on cold days.

Silver dodge what do you use for a breather over there? I cant tell from the pics on your site.

I was just thinking about finding a cheap generic breather filter at Pepboys and slapping it on there when I do the intake.

On the valve cover, I just used a stand-alone push in breather I bought at a parts store.

I thought about something like this, but the more I researched my rough cold start problem the moreI am convinced it's the main O2 sensor. I am going to replace it on Monday and we'll see.

Yes,the emissions testing here in Colorado will fail you without the factory smog vent/hoserouted into the air cleaner. I'm not that worried about it for now andI also have a push in I got at an auto parts store.

This smog adaptor is somethingI will probabaly pick up though and put the factory vent hose on the 14" filter assembly to be legal. Thanks for the link!

I passed emissions just fine at the end of last year with the setup I currently have (round filter and push in breather).
