I have searched and haven't really found what I was looking for. I'm considering just a little lift. What I'm wondering is the advantages/disadvantages of just getting a 2 inch leveling kit and add a leaf kit for the rear, or buying a kit like this

Of course it would be half the price to just level it and add a leaf. That's all the kit is also but includes other pieces. I would just add the leveling kit for the front but I'm sure the suspension has settled enough to where the front would be higher than the back.

 

looks like a great buy, but rancho is pretty expensive for what you are recieving. I would just buy the 2" spacers in the front and see what it looks like. If you think the front end looks taller then just buy some aal later. It'll end up being alot cheaper to do this, and your front suspension can handle up to 3 inches of lift without screwing up the geometry. You also will not need new shocks with only a 2" leveling kit. You can up to 1.5 inches in the rear and use the stock shocks.

 

That's why I was planning on the 2 inches in the front and 1.5 in the rear. I just want a more aggressive look without spending too much money and still keeping that factory ride quality. Can I fit 35's with that little of a lift, or 33's maybe?

 

33's will fit should fit without rubbing depending on what backspacing you get on your rims. Stock you can fit 285/75/16 which are 32.8x11.27x16's...so 33 shouldn't be any problem with a 2" lift. 35's you will more then likely be rubbing a lot. if you want to get cheap, look into to topguncustomz.com. They have a 3" lift kit that includes 3" coil spacers, front shocks, rear 1.5" blocks and new u bolts for 189 plus shipping ($36 iirc)....if heard of good things about them, and that's probably the kit i'll be going with

 

That isn't a bad deal if you get new shocks also. I don't know if I want it that tall or even use blocks for the rear though.

 

That is a good price, make sure you check 4wheelparts.com as well. I think there Rancho kit is 430 w/shocks. Check the link in my sig, it has my 95 in a couple of different configs, you can officially run 33-1250s on a 10" rim with no lift. The 35s will fit with 3, check my99 thats on there it has a 3" lift, 35 Yoko Geoloander MTs on 16x8s I think the site says it has 5" of lift, but it was only the 3" Rancho kit the same one you can see in the pics of the 95.

Looks pretty good. I'd go with the add-a-leaf in the back, it adds stability, plus you all ready have one block back there and stacking blocks isnt cool.

 

I don't think i'm gonna buy a kit, just too much money right now. I just had to dump $1500 into the transmission. If I spent $400 more on it I would probably buy gibson headers. Does anyone have any pics of a leveling kit and an add a leaf kit installed?

By far the cheapest I have found is one offered by Top Gun Customz. 3" in the front and 1.5" in the back with shocks for only 189.99. I dont know how good the quality is but theres not really much room for error.
