Default head lights

the headlights on my truck work fine when i turn them on but when i tilt my wheel down where i like it the head lights turn off. but my highbeams work no matter if the steering wheel is tilted up or down. any ideas?

you likely have a pinched or broken wire in the harness at the multifunction switch/tilt. you'll need some long skinny torx (#20 i think) to get the knee knocker and column covers off to expose the harness. not too hard, haynes manual is pretty good on this. holler back if you need more info.

You can just take that lower dash panel off as well and get a good look at the wires coming from the multi-function switch. Then, if you can't find anything, start taking off the plastic around the actual column.

I would bet you have a shorted wire as well.
