Default Adjusting Headlights- Need Help!

My truck was hit in the front end beforeI bought it, and whne they fixed it, I guess they didn't aim the headlights properly. They point WAY too high, they aren't even on the road, even in low beam mode. Any help aiming them would be greatly appreciated! (I mean like what screws to turn, that stuff, I know how to measure and all that). The truck is a '99 1500, regular, not a Sport, and it has the one bulb on each side setup.

best do it yourself way to adjust the headlights is to find LEVEL ground.. and pull it up to a garage door.. solid wall etc... turn the headlights on .. take a measuring tape and measure from the ground to the center of your headlights.. then measure the same distance on the wall.. from the ground and where your headlights should aim.. now adjust them for height... it is IMPORTANT you have the truck level when doing this.. if the rear of the truck si higher or lower.. your waisting your time.. ok now that we have the height of the headlights done.. you need to aim them right / left... alot of people have different opinions.. the object is to be able to see good and not blind the hell outta the other drivers coming towards you.. the way i usually do it is measure the distance between the headlights.. center to center.. start by aiming your drivers side light a little to the right from straight ahead.. this way it wont be aiming straight forward as to blind anyone coming towards you.. then measure the center of that beam to the passenger side on the wall.. and adjust that to the same measurement you took on the lights.. when they all line up right.. it should be close to perfect..

if your truck is lifted.. aim them down just a hair... and you shoud be set.. good luck.. they can be a pain in the neck
