Just could not stand to fill it up anymore! Gonna be the one I regret getting rid of the most i bet, but the 8mpg jump will help ease the pain.
Ended up getting a 99 chevy Blazer 4x4
let the modding start anew!
Oh, I still have the PCM if anyone is interested. The rest of the stuff stayed with the truck or went to my buddies 99 ram

I wouldn't. Gas is still not that expensive for what you get, we have just been spoiled for too long with cheap fuel. How much gas cold you have bought for the price of the new Blazer, registration and plates, taxes, and the gas that you still have to buy for it. In the end, you probably will spend more unless you can recoupe a bunch of money by selling your Ram.

i had a blazer once until the oil lines wanted to explode, entire front suspension was shot, and rear wiper stopped working, oh and the mysterious water leak on the drivers side floor that pooled up right in the wire harness for a few months befor i noticed
Not to dis your decicion, but to me gas is still a bargin. When I was 13 we talked about how gas would be $2 a gallon by the time I was 18... it didn't happen till I was 35 (now 41). So in my eyes I think it's a good buy and I don't mind paying it.

Considering he went from a 96 full size truck to a 99 blazer, he probably got it as a straight trade which means it was an economical decision. I mean, how much is an eight year old blazer with a v6 selling for? Not much. And neither are our gas rams. Now, if he bought a NEW tahoe or trailblazer for a few more mpgs, you guys would have a point. I say if he wasn't "married" to the Ram, and he saves some gas, then kudos.
ok how much are you even paying for gas? i live in BC Canada, and am paying $1.199 per Liter now ill work that into us gallons for you its $4.539 per us gallon...i doubt your paying that much...so if anyone should be whining it should be me
HHHMMMM, now i am starting to do some thinking. Im not going to give up my truck, no way. im getting about 17mpg, and i really like it. And because the price of gas is driven by the law of supply and demand then you actually did us a favour. because the less gas you use, then the less i will have to pay. So, i think you did the right thing, heck i think everybody should trade in there rams for a much smaller and more economic car. I think from now on when people ask me if i like the hybreds i will tell them hell yeah, i love them, you should trade all yourtrucks in on them. yup, that way the price of gas will go down again, and i will still have my truck. LOL
