I have a 97 ram 1500 when i turn on my head lights with the pull switch my head lights only come on, no dash lights, no corner lights, no tail lights ( i got pulled over for it) my flashers and turn signals still work. I was fooling around with the switch and when i pull it from the off positing to the middle position (for the fog lamps, corner lamps etc...) i get nothing but if i pull slowly about half way from the off position to the middle position i can get the lights to come on but its very touchy and goes back off easily. guess i need a new switch, but iwas wondering if anybody else has this problem and did a new switch fix it?

 

yah sounds like the switch, my headlights quit working a while back and that was the fix

 

take a test light and test the outputs on the switch with it on.. this will make or break the switch.. good luck
