Default acceleration

My ram seems like it's underpowerd when I step on it. My old truck was a gmc with 3.73's in the rear, Is the stock 4x4 ram's gears low? or could it be something else?

rams have 3.55 gears typically
some sports have 3.73
the off road package has 4.10

a lot of people seem to have problems with power when the cat goes south, maybe check that out? get an infared temperature gun if you can and compare the inlet and outlet of the cat, outlet should be hotter. worth a check, anyways.
