Default Painting the truck

I've been thinking about re-painting my truck. It has a few rust spots, minor dings, and scratches. I figured i would have someone do it for me buti might do it myself. Im going to paint the whole truck and was wondering a few things.

1. If i paint in myself, what brand paint should i use?
2. If someone else does it for me, who should i go to? (Dealer, maaco, ect.)
3. Should i get a base coat clear combo or just a sigle stage paint?

Any input would be great.

when it comes to paint, theres to things to remember,

1. unless you really know how to paint yourself well ( including all the sanding...), dont

2. you get what you pay for and im not kidding.

cheap paints will look alright at first but dont epect them to look good forever or even stay on your truck forever. same goes for those cheap body shops like maaco.

you'll be much happier if you go to a desent self owned body shop with a good history and get a paint job there. even if it cost alot more its worth it
