I was wondering what a reverse saftey switch does, i thought my tranny pan was leaking but it turned out to be the reverse saftey switch. Are they are hard to replace and where are they located at on the tranny

OK, a little help here. I've never heard of a reverse safety switch. But that's just me. Maybe the start/neutral safety switch on an auto. trans.
That's No. 1. No. 2.... If you don't know where it is located or what it does, how do you know its leaking??
Not trying to be a schmuck, but, I'm confused on this post.
Anyone else?

haha funny you should ask what it is ive been tring to get mine to work for a cupple weeks now

its auchually called a nutral safty switch it is what only alows you to start in park or neutral by grounding the starter silonide and it is also the switch that controls the b/u lights

its located on the drivers side of the trans, just above the oil pan flange near the front, and it will have 3 wires comming out of it
