Default Hypertech problem

I just bought a 2001 Dodge Sport 4x4 with custom headers and a K&N air intake. The person I bought it from had used the Hypertech to adjust it from the stock settings. Now whenever the truck goes over 40mph, the ABS and parking brake lights in the dashcome on and stay on until the truck is turned off. I used the hypertech to change it back to factory settings hoping that it would fix the problem but the lights still come on. Does anyone else know of this problem, and how do I fix it?

sounds like your speed sensor is bad, not from the hypertech, just a part that goes bad after time. i replaced mine when i had the same lights as you, but they were on all the time, plus it didnt read my speed under 30mph. cheap fix, i think it is like 50 bucks and installation is quick

It is located on the rear pumpkin and a 50 dollar part is a lot easier to replace yourself then pay a mechanic. I freaked out first time mine whent out and took it to the dealer. My speedometer went off and lights came on.

Be very careful when removing the old one. You will most likely have to twist it some to get it to pop out. However, don't be to rough or it could brake off in your diff. Then you will have to remove the cover.

you can do it. very very very unlikely anything will break but even if it does and you have to remove the differential cover its no big deal. just a bunch of small bolts and a drain pan. its a good idea to change that fluid every 1-2-3 years anyway. http://www.pavementsucks.com/tech/diff.php
