Default no bus

my truck is pulling that no busbullsh!ton me. truck still runs, but dash and overhead console dont work. i'm getting 900, 920, 921, 940, 950, 999.
soo, i know i have to check to make sure the instr cluster is still plugged in and check for bad grounds... i've got a couple questions first.
can a fault in my aftermarket fan's electric system cause this? i doubt it but have to ask.
can a corroded pos battery terminal post cause this?
also when i was trying to lock my doors from the electric locksinside of the truck this weekend, my locks wouldnt move but they clicked along with a clickb from under the dash.
help me

I kept blowing the run fuse in the engine compartment a while back and couldn't locate the cause. Don't know if it's the same since I never ran the codes, but my windows wouldn't operate and all dash functions died. Ended up being an internally shorted battery. Hopefully it's something simple like that. I ran wires and checked grounds for weeks without luck. Had to call Protech to find the problem, cost me $150 to buy a new battery......

How did you wire the fans? Did you use a relay so they won't run when the truck is off?

sort of... its a flexalite fan and the instr told me to tap to a power supply thats only on when the truck is on. that is what activates the switch. the fan get's its power directly from the battery though.
i tapped into a power supply for my brakes (i think its abs,if youre standing in front of your truck, its to the right of your master cylinder) so im sure theres a relay involved indirectly. the wire that melted is from a wire from the battery
