Default throttle body spacer

I've got an airaid cold air intake on my truck (97 ram 1500 5.2L) and i wanted to get a throttle body spacer also but ive read in alot of places that it will not work with the cold air intake but at other places it says that you can do it. Does anyone know whether or not you can use the two together??

no need for a tb spacer on a fuel injected setup. i had one as well, but it serves no real purpose unless you are running a carb.

i believe the only reason they might not work would be clearance issues.

Search this forum for "throttle body spacer". Lots of info about how they are useless on mpi motors.

i think the airaid stuff is all supposed to work together, i have a K&N intake and a tb spacer and its not made to fit together. However i didnt notice any performance difference with the spacer (xcept it does make a cool noise that almost sounds like a turbo) otherwise i wouldnt recommend it.

echseman is right.. clearance is definately an issue, the Airraid hat barely fits as is.. if the spacer was on top thats a bitch, no room for play or error.

just get a fastman TB instead. better performance for your money, and not a whole lot of difference in price.

There is no way i could fit a throttle body spacer with my cold air intake, i have a volant setup but it is RIGHT up there. If i got a different intake manifold it might fit.But inever seen much point in one, there is other things you can do to get better gas milage.
