Why not just get an aftermarket CD deck. Just about any new one would be better quality then what came stock in '99.

I just did the same thing. I had the stock am/fm/cassett. and switched to a am/fm/cassett/cd player. it was the same from a 97 town and country to a 01' ram. i will find the site for ya. i got mine off ebay and thats probably your best bet. The site will tell you all the models it interchanges with. there are a lot.

here is the web page http://replacementradios.com/product...products_id=70It has the radio you want but they are selling them for $200. The radio is good from 86'-01' and 02 old body styles. you can get that radio from any chrysler vehicle that had it. Just make sure that you get a radio w/ the square face and it will work. The 2 plugs from the rear of your radio will fit into the new one.

I didn't even spend $200 on my new Pioneer (bought at Bestbuy), and it is Bluetooth and Satalite radio ready, has tons of features, more power, and fits as good as any stock radio. I don't understand spending that kind of money for a stock radio that is anywhere from 5-21 years old (2002-1986 according to that website). I guess if you really want the stock look, get one from eBay or a junkyard, at least that would be cheaper I bet.

Like i said, i got mine on ebay. $100 shipped to me. I like the stock look on the interior of my truck. Thats just me tho. But you do bring up a good point, the after market head units do put out more power, loader, cleaner sound. But he was asking about a stock so thats what i gave him....lol...

Silver Dodge, what model Pioneer did you get? I'm about ready to upgrade my stereo and like Pioneer products. Thanks, Jeff.

Here's a pic of it though, and to correct my earlier statment, this is actually not the one that is BlueTooth ready (i forgot that I passed on that one), but it is satellite ready.
