Front Suspension
Hey so I just bought an 01 ram 1500 a few weeks ago. It's been a fun truck so far, but there are a few querks. The carbon canister needs replaced and there is a weird noise coming from the front drivers side suspension. When the truck is in 2wd the suspension in the front squeeks and it has gotten louder. When it is in 4wd it makes a very noticeable creaking noise sometimes when taking turns on the trail. Any idea what could cause this?
Not much a creaking noise, but I know when my front ujoints came apart it sounded like someone had some sheet metal and was hitting it with a hammer.
Check the ujoints, make sure they arent loose.

wheel bearing , axle ujoint , bushings , ball joints... jack up that side and see if you have any play hands at 12/6 any movement could be ball joint or bearings hands at 9/3 see if you can wiggle the tire rod bad ... before i forget could be a loose shock , craw under the truck and look and see if you can make this noise happen..rember safty first !!
