Default lift and tire questions

hey I have a 2001 2x4 1500 that I'm going to lift. Does anyone have the same thing I have with pics? I haven't seen a 2x4 lifted and I'd like to see what I'm goin to turn out with. However; i can'tdecide if I want to just do a body lift or do the suspension lift. Can someonehelp me decide? Also I am wanting to put 315/75r16 tires on there but I'm not sure if they will fit. I want to buy the tires first so my question is will they fit on the stock rims, and also will they even fit the truck without the lift? My last question is does anyone know the best site to find the cheapest price on the suspension or body lifts? thanks

I have 295/75/16 tires on mine with a 3" spindle lift, I just put on a 2" body lift...I am still not sureI could get 315/75/16 under there so to get the 315/75/16 I think you would also need another 3". I know fabtech has a 6.5" suspension lift.

33's are pretty much the limit on a non lifted 4X4 without any major rubbing issues, and without cutting any fenders. 2X4s sit about what 2 inches lower? So I'd plan on lifting about 5 inches too be safe. The biggest you probably wanna go without a body lift is 3 inches. which will probably still be tight. But rough country makes a pretty cheap 5 inch suspension lift (around 700-800 bucks I believe). also 315/75s are gonna be a bit wide on your stock wheels. It'll work, but it's probably not your best be for tire wear. and you might not like the way your truck runs with 35s on the stock gearing, but if you only have to redo one axel that's not soo bad.
