velocity cold air intake

Default velocity cold air intake

does anyone else have this i just got it today and put it on my truck and there is a metal box shaped thing that goes somewere and i dont know were the place igot it from didnt give me instructions or nothing and they dont know if i put it were the factory intake tube was it looks kinda out of place and pretty close to hitting the hood if anyone has this or nows something about this please let me know or show pics

Hey man, I just got the same brand kit for my truck but I haven't proceed in installing it because I, like you, recieved no instructions. Did you figure it out?

got it from autopartswarehouse.com and still dont have the box on yet just but on the tube and the filter i think it goes were the old one was but i think it will dent the hood. the pic from pitman2 looks just like mine also. there is no way this thing works. if someone finds out about this i would like to know were it goes

I wonder if the new air box bolts to the side of the fender where the factory snorkel attaches to the fender.
The tube doesn't look bent properly or long enough to reach the front of the engine compartment like the K&N kit.

Looks identical to the Fram Boost kit. It does bolt to the inner fender and gets air from the hole where the stock air box does. If I can get my scanner working I will post the directions. May be a few days as I'm a truck driver and not home every day.

Search the thread_ Re cold air intakes and look up my post on 9-27-07. There is pictures of mine on my 96. Pictures ain't the best and I need new batteries for the camera.
