Default Oil pressure delay

When i start my truck my oil pressure guage stays down for about 2-3 seconds before riseing. Is this a problem for any of you or is it just a delay in the guage?

mine does it also. the pump has to push the oil from the pan, to the top of the motor, before it will get a reading. its cause the sending unit is on top of the block

if it aint broke.. dont fix it.. there isnt anythng wrong with the delay.. 1.. takes a second or 2 to get the oil to the top of the motor.. 2. its all computer controlled.. ya gotta let it go thru its 'boot up' process

its normal. mine takes about 2 seconds to register also. since pump is mechanical it has to pump the oil column all the way to the top of the motor.
