RE: hollowed conv.
When you guys say your cats bolt up to your exhaust do you mean the bolts where it links up to the exhaust manifold? Because those are the only bolts I could find on my whole exhaust. My exhaust is stock untill about 3 feet past the cat where my Flowmaster and turndowns are. I didn't know if yall had bolts on the cat itself or what.

RE: hollowed conv.
My muffler is welded on. As a matter of fact my cat-back is completely welded. Even the hangers are welded to the frame. They built it to stay I guess. I wish I could just take the cat off, pry it open, clean it out, and just put it back in place. The only way to get mine off is to cut it off. The cat is also a two in one out design. It would be difficult for me to weld that back up since the rest of the exhaust would have to stay on the truck.

RE: hollowed conv.
here are a few sound clips as well.
this one is of the exhaust close up, like right nerar the pipe.

this one is further away.
http://media.putfile.com/exhaust-far-away
and this is idle, kinda close to the muffler.

i chose to gut the cat over getting a whole load *** exhaust system because i plow snow and dont want/need a load *** exhaust, this gave it a nice sound, thats not too loud.
