Sorry, but it is very doubtful that Dodge will help you out. Paint is a tough one, chances are they will blame it on other causes.

They will probably blame it on stone chips and road salt. I wouldn't get my hopes up.

They had a TSB (technical service bulletin) out last year about the bottoms of doors rusting out. Apparently the drain holes did not get stamped all the way thru, which caused water to get trapped in the doors and rust them from the inside out. Take it to your dealer, you never know, it may be covered. I seem to remember it had to have less than 100,000 miles on it or something like that. There were some limitations as to what it would cover.

I think you'll have a hard time getting them to warranty it. If you were the original owner it'd be easier. But who is to say the truck hasn't be wrecked before? It's worth a shot though, les us know what happens.

In my experiences, which are fairly broad, the higher up the dcx corporate ladder to bitch, and the angrier you are, the better the chances of them doing something. if you want to PM me with your VIN and current mileage, ill check and see where you stand warranty wise.

When I first bought my 95 it was 4 years old and I was the third owner. It had rust on the lower part of the doors. I took it straight to a dealer and with no question they warrantied it. The rust warranty is like 8 years/ 100,000 miles (something like that) and it goes with the vehicle until the time or mileage lapses.
